About

My name is Sumita Kar

I’ve worked and led in global environments where being capable isn’t always enough to be taken seriously. As a female expat, I know how easy it is to be misread, overlooked, or expected to adapt endlessly. Take a Brava Leap is for women leading abroad who want practical support to communicate clearly, navigate power dynamics, and be recognized for their work.   No hype. No confidence talk. Just clear, usable leadership tools for real situations.

The Approach

A practical leadership framework designed for expat women leading across cultures.

Clarity First

We start by getting clear on how you’re currently being seen and where things are breaking down. This includes your communication style, decision making patterns, visibility, and the cultural dynamics you’re navigating. No generic diagnostics. Just what actually applies to your role and context.

Strategic Repositioning

Through focused strategy sessions, we work on how you speak, lead, and show up in high stakes situations. You’ll refine how you communicate authority, handle pushback, and navigate power dynamics without over explaining or shrinking.

Real World Practice

This is where things get applied. You’ll work through real scenarios from your job: meetings, feedback, negotiations, and leadership moments that matter. You practice, adjust, and build muscle, so you’re ready when it counts.

Visibility & Momentum

We track what’s changing in real life: how people respond to you, where your influence increases, and how your leadership lands. The focus is not personal growth for its own sake, but visible progress at work.

Get in Touch

Book a 30 minute conversation to understand your situation and see if I can genuinely help. We’ll talk through your role, your context, and what feels stuck or unclear right now. I’ll ask questions, share perspective where useful, and be honest about whether this is the right next step for you.

This is not a sales pitch and there is no pressure to continue. If we are not a fit, I’ll tell you. If we are, I’ll explain what working together would look like and why.
